Semana de los Mercados: A Route por los Mercados Abastos

Salamanca is proud of its historic food markets, places that have been the heart of local commerce for centuries. In this first edition of Semana de los Mercados, we invite you to discover three of the most emblematic:

Mercado Central de Abastos de Salamanca: Located in the Plaza del Mercado, next to the Plaza Mayor, this market is the oldest in the city. Designed by the architect Joaquín de Vargas y Aguirre at the beginning of the 20th century, it offers a wide variety of fresh and local products.

Mercado de San Juan: Located in Plaza Julián Sánchez "El Charro", this market was renovated in 1990 and houses several stalls ranging from butchers to greengrocers, offering high quality products.

Mercado de San Bernardo: Located on Avenida de Filiberto Villalobos, it is known for its close atmosphere and the freshness of its products, being a meeting point for the residents of the area.

During this week, each market will offer special activities, tastings and workshops for the public. Don't miss it!
